The Effective Black Parenting Program is the first parenting skill building program to respect and honor the unique history and traditions of people of African descent and to teach its skills in a manner that is both culturally sensitive and culturally affirming. Delivered through an engaging platform, the program provides an interactive space where parents can connect, share experiences, and learn parenting strategies. Participants benefit from weekly incentives and resources for the duration of 15 sessions. The program emphasizes building strong family bonds, fostering cultural pride and equipping parents with tools to navigate parenting challenges effectively.

This series will begin on April 22nd and end on June 25th, 2025.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays - 6PM - 8PM

These trainings are part of a 10 week series consisting of 15 sessions.

This class meets virtually once per week for the first week, twice per week the following week and continues to alternate weekly between one and two sessions until the end of the series.

Training Agreements
By signing up for the Effective Black Parenting training series, the participant understands that we are asking for a 15-Session commitment and that the participant will do their best to attend each training and notify the facilitator if they are unable to attend.*

You must be able to agree to a 15-session commitment and communicate any absences to facilitators in order to continue participating in the trainings. If you are unable to make a commitment, please consider another CCRC activity. If you have any questions, please email EveryoneRR@ccrcca.org
Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training series. If a participant does not attend at least 11 sessions, the participant will not be eligible to receive a certificate.*

By signing up for the Effective Black Parenting training series, the caregiver affirms that they are a resident of San Bernardino County.*
